TRIP TIPS

Many AAA offices sell discounted Knott's Berry Farm admission tickets to their members. If you are a AAA member, check with your local office for availability. Tickets must be purchased at a AAA office. AAA members must show their cards at the Knott's ticket booth; this special is not available when ordering print-at-home tickets from the Knott's website.

More than one day is recommended to completely experience Knott's Berry Farm and Soak City. The most convenient accommodation is the Knott's Berry Farm Resort Hotel. Packages with tickets and accommodations are available. We also list a variety of hotels to stay at for the Soak City - Orange County, Palm Springs, and San Diego locations. Early reservations are advised because packages are in demand. If you would like to make reservations for the Knott's Berry Farm Resort Hotel, you may contact the Reservations Office at (866) 752-2444.

Rides will close due to weather conditions, particularly rain, high winds and/or lightning. A specific answer as to which rides close or remain open is not possible because varying degrees of inclement weather cause different effects on different rides. Those rides affected the most are the roller coasters and the high rides. Knott's Berry Farm makes every effort to reopen the rides as quickly and safely as possible after the adverse weather conditions cease. Sorry, no rainchecks or refunds.

Please remember, it is not possible to specifically state which rides will be closed at a specific time because the varying degrees of inclement weather cause different effects on different rides.

Knott's Berry Farm does not release attendance figures until the completion of its operating season. At that time, combined attendance for Cedar Fair Entertainment Company's parks will be released.

Knott's Berry Farm recommends visiting on Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, when attendance is lower. Contrary to popular belief, holidays such as Memorial Day and Labor Day do not result in unusually large crowds. The months with the lowest attendance are May, June and September.

ATMs are available (4) at the following locations:

• Camp Snoopy
• North Boardwalk (by Sky Cabin)
• Charleston Circle

For the comfort of all park guests, smoking is permitted in designated areas only. The designated smoking areas are at the following locations:

• Near Grand Entrance
• Near Jaguar
• Near Perilous Plunge
• Near Western Entrance

Knott's Berry Farm has a dress code designed to maintain the park's family atmosphere. Shirts and shoes must be worn at all times, including entering or leaving. Swimwear must be sufficiently covered. Profanity, obscene gestures, obscene statements, pictures of illegal substances, motorcycle colors, insignias of para-military groups, all gang related items on clothing and costumes or disguises that conceal identity are prohibited. Knott's Berry Farm reserves the right to refuse admission to anyone who refuses to comply with the dress code summarized above. If you have any concerns about your dress, please contact the Park Operations Office.

NOTICE: It is illegal to carry a firearm, deadly weapon or dangerous ordnance anywhere on Knott's Berry Farm property. Unless otherwise authorized by law, no person shall knowingly possess, have under the person's control, convey or attempt to convey a deadly weapon or dangerous ordnance on Knott's Berry Farm property.

Recommended Clothing: Dress for comfort. Cotton is practical, since it's cool and dries quickly after water rides. Sneakers are the best footwear; make sure they're broken in to prevent blistering. Be prepared for all types of weather. Conditions can often change unexpectedly. Knott's Berry Farm rents lockers to store extra clothes.

Knott's Berry Farm has a First Aid station located in Ghost Town near the Ghost Town Bakery. The First Aid Station offer the convenience of warming bottles and providing privacy for nursing. Medications that need refrigeration can also be stored there.

Cash, money orders, traveler's checks and credit cards as follows:

• Checks: We're sorry, but personal checks are NOT accepted for park admission. With a valid driver's license, traveler's checks up to $100 bill denominations ($200 total) can be used to purchase park tickets. 
• Credit Cards: VISA, MasterCard, Discover, American Express: park admission, restaurants and most gift shops & quick service food locations.
• Cash: US cash is accepted at all Knott's Berry Farm locations. Large denominations of U.S. currency can be exchanged at the Information Center.

Knott's Berry Farm offers a vast amount of games throughout the park from guessing games to electronic shooting galleries. Please check at the stands for details.

There are several arcades located in the park: Bandit Bob's Arcade (Ghost Town), Buffalo Nickel Arcade (Next to Johnny Rockets), and Casa Arcade (Fiesta Village). The majority of arcade games will be state-of-the-art electronic games.

All passenger restraint systems, including lap bars, shoulder harnesses and seatbelts, must be positioned, fastened and tightened to allow guests to ride.

Due to rider restraint system requirements, guests of exceptional size may not be accommodated on some of our rides. This may apply, but not be limited to, males who exceed 6'2", and those who exceed 225 pounds, have a 40" waistline or 52" chest or females who exceed 200 pounds or wear size 18 or larger. Each person has different body proportions, so it is impossible to determine exact size and weight.

Maximum recommended weight limits are posted on most Knott's Berry Farm Theme Park and Soak City attractions. You may enter the ride via the exit to ensure the restraints function properly prior to waiting in line.

For safety reasons, laser pointers are not allowed at Knott's Berry Farm.

Lockers are located all throughout the park for storage of items. The all-day rental fee for these lockers varies per location (Soak City and Knott's Berry Farm Theme Park). Change machines are located near the lockers. All-day locker rental is available at Soak City. Knott's Berry Farm assumes no liability for items in the lockers. The Rental Center is located at Indian Trails (near Grande Entrance).

All items found at Knott's Berry Farm are turned in to our Lost & Found Department (Information Center at the Grand Entrance). If you lose an item on a ride, we will search for the article as soon as possible. For safety reasons, and in order to keep the ride in operation, an immediate search may not be possible. Please visit Lost & Found to complete paperwork to ensure your item is returned to you if it is found. All found property turned in to the Lost and Found Department is returned to its rightful owner if proper identification can be established. If you lost an item at Knott's Berry Farm during your visit, you may call our General Phone Number (714) 220-5220 to contact our Lost and Found Office.

Annual Pass IDs turned in to Lost & Found are taken to the Information Center located at the Grand Entrance.

Avoid eating lunch during the noon hour, or dinner at 5 p.m. Ride some of the more popular rides at this time, while many other people eat their meals.

The use of roller skates, roller blades, scooters, bicycles, tricycles and skate boards is not permitted on Knott's Berry Farm property.

If you leave the park and plan to return that day, please get your hand stamped before you exit.

For added convenience, Knott's Berry Farm offers a rental fleet of Strollers, Manual Wheelchairs and Electric Convenience Vehicles (ECVs) that may be rented on a one-day basis. Overnight or multiple rental days are not available. Rentals are available inside Ghost Town next to the Geode Shop for Strollers and Manual Wheelchairs and are on a first-come, first-served basis. ECV rentals are also available only at the Front Rental Center. If guests are in need of these convenience items, we strongly recommend that they provide their own. There is absolutely no guarantee that vehicle choice will be available upon arrival on the day of their visit.

*A deposit is required for stroller, manual wheelchair and ECV rental. The deposit is returned when the guest returns the rented item to the rental location. Driver’s license cannot be left in lieu of deposit. Credit cards are accepted for rentals and deposits.

Reservations for ECVs are available for overnight resort guests, but in limited quantity depending on fleet availability. Reservations must be made a minimum of 24 hours in advance by calling (714) 220-5495. Once the reservation list is filled, no more reservations will be accepted.

Guests without reservations may inquire as to vehicle availability at the Front Rental Center on the day of visit. If a vehicle is not available, guests may leave their name and cell phone number to be called for the next available vehicle. Please note: ECVs are very popular and may be “sold out” and no vehicles will be available.

Important information about ECVs: Children under the age of 16 are not permitted to operate this vehicle. Operators between the ages of 16 and 21 must have a valid driver's license and signature for parental consent. ECVs are for single riders only with a weight limit of 325 lbs. Additional riders of any age are not permitted. ECVs may not be operated in rainy conditions and will not be rented to guest during rain showers.

Pack sunscreen. Even on a cloudy day, the sun's rays can pierce the clouds and reflect off the midways. If it's a hot day, remember to drink extra fluids and take cover periodically in the shade.
